Heavy traffic expected for Comox to Powell River ferry route Saturday

With the PRISMA festival underway, BC Ferries says you should expect heavy traffic this Saturday.

The ferry-line says heavy traffic is expected for the Comox to Powell River route because of the festival, which runs until June 29 this year.

Eight sailings will be affected, with four in the morning, and four in the afternoon and evening. They include ferries leaving Comox at 6:15 am, 9:55 am, 3:25 pm, and 7:10 pm, and those leaving Powell River at 8:05 am, 11:50 am, 5:15 pm, and 8:45 pm.

To avoid delays on that day, they encourage you to book vehicle reservations online, and to consider travelling outside of the heavy traffic sailings.

Paid parking facilities at the Little River terminal will be busy that morning, with additional, but limited parking maybe available on Wilkinson Road.

They also encourage you to take a taxi to the terminal or to be dropped off by a friend or family member.
