With tomorrow being Canada Day, multiple events are taking place for residents to attend in Powell River.
In a social media post, the city announced that its parks, recreation, and culture department are putting together these events at Willingdon Beach.
Musicians will be performing on the stage starting at 3 pm with Ghost Town, followed by Zumba with Lyn, Clansman pipe band, Madame mayhem, Blues busters, Rockfish, Dawson Jaxn & Renelle, and Overdrive. The performances run from 3 to 9:30 pm.
Along with the music, there’s also 3 bouncy castles, jouster, face painting, games with the summer staff, and food and sales vendors.
They say to wrap up the event will be fireworks, which starts at 10 pm, and wraps up by 10:30.
A free shuttle will be availabe for residents to take to the beach starting at 6:15 pm.
